ABOUT ME
You’ve been through something most men don’t talk about in any real depth.
A breakup. Maybe a betrayal. Maybe the slow crumbling of something you thought would last.
And now you're left with the mess—and the questions:
- What do I do now?
- Why does it still hurt?
- How do I get my footing again?
I get it.
I’ve lived through heartbreak twice—once after 20 years, again after 10. I’ve stared at the ceiling at 3 AM, wondering if I’d ever feel solid again. And I’ve rebuilt—not by pretending I was fine, but by getting honest, getting still, and choosing who I wanted to become.
This site, this course, this work—it’s not about me. It’s about giving you a clear, grounded way forward. No alpha-male bravado (newsflash: it happens to every kind of man), no mumbo-jumbo or woo-woo.
Just the real work of healing, via reality, with your dignity intact.
You don’t need to become someone else.
You just need to come back to yourself.
Â
I created Your Next Voyage: Breakup Recovery for Men to offer the course I wish I’d had the first time: something that speaks directly to men, without fluff or performance, and gives you the tools to rebuild with purpose—starting right where you are.
This work isn’t about “fixing” you. It’s about helping you remember who you are—and who you want to become.
If that’s where you are right now, I’m honored to walk with you a while.
Â
About me, after all
In case you’re curious: I’m a teacher, a writer, and lately, a sailor. I often work aboard my newly-acquired 1981 Cape Dory 30, docked in the quiet waters of Oriental, North Carolina.
It's not a glamorous boat—but better, it's solid. An ocean-crosser, when I have the skill for that in 2026 or 2027. Â
I moved here after a brutalizing breakup of a 10-year relationship at the end of 2024, to remember who I was before I even met her -- and work toward the man I am now becoming.
Every moment on the boat is part of the growth.
